BIOGRAPHY
SHEIKH IMRAN N. HOSEIN
Sheikh Imran Nazar Hosein was a former diplomat of Trinidad and Tobago. He is presently the Imam of Masjid Dar al-Qur’an in Long Island, New York. He studied Islam under the guidance of the outstanding Islamic Scholar and Sufi Sheikh, Maulana Dr. Muhammad Fadlur Rahman Ansari, at the Institute of Islamic Studies in Pakistan. He also studied philosophy at the University of Karachi and International Relations at the University of West Indies and the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. His published works include, among others, The Religion of Abraham and the State of Israel, The Prohibition of Riba in the Qur’an and Sunnah, The Caliphate, the Hejaz and the Saudi Wahhabi Nation-State.”
Our noble Salafi brother (reliable in his narrating), Abdur-Rahmaan Al-Fransee, who lives in Malaysia states:
“The Imran N Hosein who came to Malaysia and delivered lectures with Bilal Philips in July 2001 is the Soofee now living in New York, born in Trinidad, author of the books ‘One Jama’at One Ameer’ and ‘The Saudi-Wahabi Nation State’… It is not the first time he came to Malaysia. I am 100% sure that the Imran N Hosein who came is the Soofee guy. How is that ? Coz he also went to Singapore (nearby Malaysia) and a Salafi brother over there mentioned that this Soofee came again to Singapore. I myself went several times to Singapore, a city of Tassawuf and grave-worship, and his books are easily found in the ‘Islamic’ bookshops. Another Singaporean Salafi brother – who was in Malaysia in July 2001 and has spent 7 months in the camp of Sh. Muqbil – also indicated to me that this guy was the Soofee one. Also on the posters for the Malaysian tour, it was indicated that he was from New York. Finally, his photo on the posters matched the photo on the back cover of his book ‘One Jama’at One Ameer’ (I have this book at home).”

Imran Hosein states: “The Sufi methodology recognizes insight, recognizes the capacity to see with nur (light) and therefore provide a new explanation. That’s a Sufi methodology, and I got that from my teacher who was a Sufi sheikh.” (video: 2012 Imran Hosein - Sufi, Salafi and the End of Time)
He also states, “..that is tasawwuf, and that is the highest stage of religion. Personally I wish the word Sufism had never been invented by life would have been easier.” (video: 2012 Imran Hosein - Sufi, Salafi and the End of Time)
Imran states: “The Sufi methodology recognizes insight, recognizes the capacity to see with nur (light) and therefore provide a new explanation. That’s a Sufi methodology, and I got that from my teacher who was a Sufi sheikh.” (video: 2012 Imran Hosein - Sufi, Salafi and the End of Time)
He said: “We say to the Salafi, and we’ve been saying it for all this time, all these months in our lectures that no brother you’re wrong. There are verses from the Quran that could not be understood. Not by the Aslaaf. An Nabi Muhammad alaihe salaam did not provide the explanation, and today we are the ones that have to use knowledge and insight to recognize what Allah is saying. And when we provide that interpretation of the Quran notice my brother salafi that the overwhelming majority of people are accepting our interpretation as correct.” (video: 2012 Imran Hosein - Sufi, Salafi and the End of Time)
He said: “Al-Ihsan is to worship Allah, and to serve Allah as though you’re seeing Him with the eye of your heart. (Quotes the sentence in Arabic) if you have not reached that stage as of yet were you can see with the internal eye and worship Him, then at least this, you should recognize that He is seeing you. And so the heart can see, but the heart can only see when there is faith, and the heart can see only when there is nur in the heart. (video: 2012 Imran Hosein - Sufi, Salafi and the End of Time)

Are All The Groups Present Today Apart of The 72 Destroyed Sects?
The noble Shaykh al-Allaamah Rabee ibn Haadi al-Madkhalee (may Allaah preserve him) was asked:
Q. May Allaah bestow good upon you. Do all of the groups present in this day enter into the Hadeeth of the seventy two destroyed sects? Is the group the Muslim Brotherhood and the Tableeghis along with them (the seventy two destroyed sects)?
A. Whoever is not upon that which the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) and His Companions (may Allaah be pleased with them all) were upon, in his Aqeedah, his Manhaj and in his Da’wah then he is from the misguided sects. The Muslim Brotherhood unites between the different sects. Therefore, they have opened their doors wide open for the Rawaa-fid, the Khawaa-rij, the Zaydiyyah and the Mu’tazilah. Rather they have opened up their doors for the Christians. They are ones who consist of the different misguided groups together. We don’t name them a misguided group, rather they consist of the different (misguided) groups.
Likewise the case of the Tableeghis is near to them. They give the pledge of allegiance upon paths of Soofiyyah. They have opened the doors for anybody. There’s no doubt that they are from the misguided groups. Indeed Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy upon him) was asked about them and he said: -They are from the other groups. They are not from Ahlis-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah-.
Therefore Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah are they ones who are upon what the Messenger (salallaahu alayhi wa sallam) and His Companions (may Allaah be pleased with them all) were upon. This is the scale (by which we judge) the Muslim Brotherhood and other than them. Are they upon what the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) and His Companions (may Allaah be pleased with them all) were upon in their creed, Manhaj, Da’wah, alliance and disassociation? Or do they have for themselves other methodologies? The answer: They have for themselves other methodologies that differ completely from that which the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) and His Companions (may Allaah be pleased with them all) were upon in His Aqeedah, Manhaj, alliance and disassociation.”

The Soofeeyah Relieve themselves of Worship
The Soofeeyah Relieve themselves of Worship
Statements from the People of Knowledge
Compiled and translated By Abbas Abu Yahya @ FollowingTheSunnah Blog
1- ‘Alee bin Ahmad bin Sa’eed bin Hazm (d.456 A.H.) -Rahimullaah- said:
‘A group from the Soofeeyah claimed that there is from amongst the ‘Aawleeyah (Friends of Allaah) he who is better than all the Prophets and Messengers.
These Soofeeyah said: Whoever reaches the maximum limit of al-Walayaa (the maximum limit of being religious) then he is relieved of all the Sharia’, from prayer, fasting, Zakah and other acts of worship. And that all Haraam things become Halaal for him, from Zina and drinking alcohol and other things.’
[‘al-Fassal’ by Ibn Hazm (3/226), taken from introduction to ‘Ijteema al-Jayoosh al-Islaamee’ by Ibn al-Qayyim p.141]
2- Ibn al-Jawzi (d. 597 A.H.) -Rahimullaah- said:
‘Iblees (Shaytaan) deceived a group of the Soofeeyah, from them were those who secluded themselves in a mountain, like monks. Spending the night alone, and reach the morning alone, so they would miss the Jumma’ prayer and the congregational prayer and mixing with the people of knowledge.’
[‘Talbees Iblees’ by Ibn al-Jawzi p.307, ‘Ijteema al-Jayoosh al-Islaamee’ by Ibn al-Qayyim p.142]
3- Shamsuddeen Muhammad bin Abee Bakr Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah (d.751) -Rahimullaah- said:
‘….so whoever does not hold the opinion that establishing the obligatory acts of worship is compulsory and he believes that he will achieve a state whereby he is relieved of worship, then he is a disbeliever detached from the religion.’
[‘Madarij Salikeen’ by Ibn al-Qayyim (3/113), ‘Ijteema al-Jayoosh al-Islaamee’ by Ibn al-Qayyim p.142]
4- Shamsuddeen Muhammad bin Abee Bakr Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah (d.751)-Rahimullaah- quoted the hadeeth:
[From Anas bin Malik –RadhiAllaahu anhu- who said: ‘A group of three people came to the houses of the Prophet’s wives asking about the Prophet’s worship. When they were informed about it, they regarded their own as insignificant and said: ‘Where are we compared to the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam? Indeed Allaah has forgiven him his past and future sins.’
One of them said: As for me then I will pray all night.
The other one said: I will fast continuously and not open my fast.
The last one said: I will keep away from women and never marry.
When the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- came he said: Are you those who said such-and-such. Then I swear by Allaah that indeed I am the most fearful of Allaah from amongst you and the one who has the most Taqwa of Him. However, I fast and open my fast, I pray and I sleep and I marry women. So whosoever does not desire my Sunnah is not of me.’ Collected by Bukhari]
Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah (d.751) -Rahimullaah- said about the preceding hadeeth: ‘The Messenger -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- freed himself from those who turned away from his Sunnah, and worshipping Allaah. Those who leave that which Allaah allowed for His worshippers from the good things of the world by not desiring them, with the belief that keeping away from them is worshipping Allaah, so this person does not distinguish between what is for him and what is against him.’
[‘Madarij Salikeen’ by Ibn al-Qayyim (1/93-94)]

Sufism is not from Islam – by Shaykh Fawzaan
Sufism is not from Islam
Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (hafithahuAllah)
Translated by Rasheed ibn Estes ibn Estes Barbee
Presented to you by Markaz Tawheed was-Sunnah in Durham, NC
http://mtws.posterous.com
Questioner:
What is the ruling in Islam concerning Sufism?
Shaykh Fawzan:
Sufism, there is no Sufism in Islam, this is an innovation. Sufism is an innovation, it is not from Islam.
Thus it is upon those who have fallen into Sufism to repent to Allah the Exalted.
And it is upon them to return to the Sunnah.
And it is upon them to return to that which the pious predecessors were upon from uprightness and firmness upon the Deen of Allah and following the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah are upon him, and following the rightly guided successors.
This is the pure unadulterated methodology.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings are upon him said:
This nation will divide into seventy three sects all of them will be in the fire except one. They said: Who are they oh Messenger of Allah? He replied: Those who are upon what I and my companions are upon.
Thus there is no safety and security except by following the Minhaj of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings are upon, him and his companions.
And Sufism is not from the Minhaj of the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah are upon him, and it is not from the Minhaj of his companions, and it is not from the Minhaj of the virtuous generations; rather it is something newly invented in Islam.
And it (Sufism) contains a great deal of deviations; some of which contains grave worship and shirk with Allah the Exalted and belief in the dead.
Thus Sufism also contains polytheism.

Refutation Of Deobandis – by Abu Khadeejah
The Deviations of Hamza Yusuf
This is a segment taken from a Khutbah entitled “The Statement La ilaaha illallaah” Delivered by Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Wahid. For more information please visit: http://www.asharis.com
The famous Qasida Burda by Busiri that Hamza Yusuf and other sufis chant states within it:
OH MOST GENEROUS OF MANKIND (referring to the Prophet sallah Allaahu alayhi wasalam) I HAVE NO ONE TO SEEK REFUGE IN EXCEPT YOU WHEN THE WIDESPREAD CALAMITY OCCURS.
Did he forget that he can seek refuge in Allaah the ALL HEARER? Allaah the MOST HIGH says:
(Qur’an 113:1) Say: “I seek refuge with (Allâh) the Lord of the daybreak
(Quran 114:1) Say: “I seek refuge with (Allâh) the Lord of mankind,
Did he forget that the dead can’t hear the living?
[Qur'an 27:080] Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs.
[Qur'an 46:005] And who is more astray than one who calls (invokes) besides Allah, such as will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection, and who are (even) unaware of their calls (invocations) to them?
He is a clear deviant misguiding many so why do you love him? Is it because his English impresses you? Isn’t the correct belief the most important thing or is speaking articulately more important? WAKE UP OH MUSLIMS
Allaah says:”And invoke not besides Allâh, any that will neither profit you, nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).
The burdah also says: “I swear by the moon that split.”
However, it is not permissible to swear by other than Allaah the MOST HIGH, and to do so is a minor form of Shirk. The Prophet (sallah Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Whomever gives an oath by other than Allaah has committed Shirk or kufr. (Ahmed, 4509 & Tirmidhee, 1534)
The Burdah also states within it:
” and how could you give the dunya importance, when if it was not for him (the prophet), the dunya would not have appeared from nothingness “
This is more deviation. Allaah the MOST HIGH says:
“And I did not create the Jinn and the Mankind except to worship me” (Surah al-Dhariyat, 56)
The Burdah states: Discard what the Christians claim about their Nabi Then decide and say what you wish in praise of him (Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). (Chapter 3/29-30)
The proof against this is the Prophet (sallah allahu alieh wasalam) said, “Do not do to me as the Christians did to Jesus, I am a messenger of Allah, therefore, say the servant of Allah and His messenger.”
Ibn Al Jawzy said the hadith means do not go into extreme in one’s love for the Prophet (sallah allahu alieh wasalam). The context of the hadith was such that Mu’ath (radia allahu anh) asked the Prophet if he may prostrate to him, and the Prophet (sallah allah alieh wasalam) set a rule against going into extreme love for him.
Dr Saleh as-Saleh Raheemahulah stated regarding the Burdah:
A special warning concerning the infamous Burdah poem of Al-Busiri: It is plain shirk because it exaggerates the Prophet (Peace be upon him) giving him attributes of divinity, as if he knows the unseen and what is written in the preserved tablet. So much of this, unfortunately, is spread throughout the Muslim world and particularly in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia. Think about it. Moreover, they have musical groups in these countries only specialized to sing these poems, especially the “Burdah”. In some recent forms, it is “recited by Khalid Belrhouzi featuring Yusuf Islam (yes!) This is an ad on the net carrying the title: Burdah (audio tape) Khalid Belrhouzi and Yusuf Islam (Arabic + English)
It is stated in this poem, among other things, that And of your knowledge is the knowledge of the pen and the preserved tablet! The “pen refers to the pen which Allah commanded it saying: “Write! It said, ‘What should I write, my Rabb (Lord)? Allah said: Write the record of all preordained matter until the commencement of the Hour.”9 According to this poet, the Prophet knows what the pen already wrote and what is written in the preserved tablet. We seek refuge in Allah from these fabrications.
End of quote
Regarding the knowledge of the unseen then Allaah the Most-High says:
And with Him are the keys of the Ghaib (all that is hidden), none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is in (or on) the earth and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but he knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record. (Qur’an 6:59)
