Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmee’s Refutation of Ibn Jibreen’s Request Not To Publish A Refutation al-Ikhwaan and Hassan al-Bannaa
The Shaikh, Ibn Jibreen got involved with the Qutubiyyah such as Salmaan al-Awdah in the Mis’ari affair (the setting up of CDLR). This changed his perceptions towards some of the Innovators such as Sayyid Qutb and Hassan al-Banna, making him think that they were scholars like the scholars of the past, like Ibn Hajr and an-Nawawi and their likes, who were from Ahl us-Sunnah but erred in certain areas. This whole farce (of al-Mis’ari, Doc. Fitnah) was lambasted by Shaikh Ibn Uthaimeen who called it a route to evil and mischief and the likes. However, what is important is that the Shaikh’s involvement with these people influenced his outlook.
This led the Shaikh to find fault with Shaikh Rabee’ and his refutations of Sayyid Qutb and the Qutubiyyah – and led him to utter baseless statements against the Shaikh. Rather, the Shaikh opposed what the rest of the scholars, had unanimously agreed upon, which was the praise and commendation for Shaikh Rabee’ in his refutations and expositions of Sayyid Qutb, and also of the Qutubiyyah like Safar and Salman and others who raised the flag of extremist Irjaa’ towards the Mockers of the Messengers, Revilers of the Caliphs, Mukaffirs of the Companions and Utterers of statements of] Kufr and Apostasy. It also led the Shaikh to write letters to other scholars, such as the noble Shaikh, Ahmad bin Yahyaa an-Najmee, asking them not to write books in refutation of Hassan al-Banna and the defunct, bankrupt, brotherhood
The refutation of Shaikh Ahmad bin Yahyaa an-Najmee is the most powerful, and uses some harsh language (bearing in mind that the Shaikh is senior to Ibn Jibreen) in outlining the great injustice of Ibn Jibreen in his accusations.
The book is called “Radd ul-Jawaab ‘alaa Man Talaba Minnee ‘Adam Tab’ al-Kitaab” (The Return of the Reply To The One Who Requested Me Not To Print the Book). This is 40 pages long, in A4. Shaikh Ibn Jibreen had requested from the Shaikh that he does not print his most excellent work entitled “Al-Mawrid al-Adhb az-Zulaal Feemantuqida Alaa Ba’d al-Manaahij ad-Da’awiyyah Min al-’Aqaa’id wal-A’maal” (The Cold Sweet [Flowing] Spring Water [That Quenches (the Thirst)] Concerning What Can Be Criticised Of Beliefs and Actions Of Some of the Methodologies of Da’wah).
This book is a detailed, reference-filled, authoratitive refutation of the overall methodologies of Jamaa’at ut-Tabligh, and Ikhwaan ul-Muflisoon, with details of their history, founders, developments, deviations and many other issues. It also contains an excellent and detailed refutation of Hassan al-Bannaa and Muhammad Ilyaas, and their great deviations and heresies, and who were far astray from the aqeedah of the Salaf. The book is 340 pages in total. So Ibn Jibreen requested the Shaikh not to print this book, as he claimed that Shaikh Ahmad had wronged Hassan al-Bannaa.
So the Shaikh replied with a powerful reply, that needs nothing in addition to it, illustrating the baseless accusations of Ibn Jibreen, and establishing the heresies of Hassan al-Bannaa and his speaking with “wahdat ul-wujood”, and who uttered the Shirk Akbar in the form of poetical compositions, and his praise of the propounders of “wahdat ul-wujood”, and his statement that their is no religious dispute between the Muslims and the Jews, and his taking part in the gatherings at the tombs of Zainab and others, and his witnessing the Major Shirk with his own eyes and not rejecting it, and his travelling 20 miles to the graves of ad-Dasooqee and as-Sinjar and then returning a whole 20 miles, and his efforts to unite between the Sunnis and the Raafidah Shi’ah, and his enacting the bay’ah and calling people to make bay’ah, and to request obedience (that is only given to the wali ul-amr of the Muslims), and his tafweedh of the Attributes of Allaah, the most wicked of all of the sayings of the negators of the Attributes and much more.
The Shaikh finishes by asking Ibn Jibreen 25 questions which he ought to answer, about the so called good effects of Hassan al-Bannaa.
Tariq Ramadan and his belief in Wahdatul Wujood, al-Hulul, al-Ittihaad and other heretic Sufiyyah beliefs
by Abu Hammaad Sulaymaan Dameus al-Hayiti [1]
We find in the words of Tariq Ramadan thoughts that reflect the beliefs of Kufr (disbelief) and Shirk (polytheism) of the heretic Sufis. The belief in “Wahdatul Wujood” (unity of existence, meaning that everything is Allaah and Allaah is everything) is a form of pantheism and “al-Hulul” (believing that Allaah is in some creatures), which are heretic beliefs taught by most of the Sufiyyah Turuq in the world today. One should not be surprised to see Tariq showing and expressing these heretic beliefs since the grandfather of Tariq, Hassan al-Banna, was a Sufi of the al-Hisaafiyyah ash-Shaadhiliyyah tariqah that expressed these same beliefs, aswell as Sayyid Qutb who expresses clearly these heretic beliefs in his book “Fi Dhilaal al-Qur’aan” in many places and in particular in his commentary on Surah al-Ikhlaas, aswell as other key figures from Ikhwaan al-Muslimuun (had the same beliefs).
Here are some audio clips that prove that Tariq Ramadan promotes the belief of Wahdatul Wujood and the belief of al-Hulul
al-Albânî about Qutb’s rhetorical expressions [Video|Ar-En Subtitles]

Question:
The author of ”Dhilâl-ul-Qur’ân” says in the beginning of his explanation of the chapter Tâ Hâ”:
“The Qur’ân was a phenomenon such as the phenomenon of the heavens and the earth.”
What do you say of this?
Shaykh al-Albânî:
We have several times, O brother, said that Sayyid Qutb (rahimahullâh) was not learned. He was only an author. He did not manage to express himself about Islâmic beliefs and especially the beliefs of Salafiyyah. That is why we should not talk so much about his words since he was not the type of knowledgeable we are talking about, namely in the Qur’ân, Sunnah and the methodology of the Salaf. Many of the times he expresses himself, he does it in a phraseological and rhetorical way. He namely does not express himself in a knowledge-based and Salafî-based way at all.
We do not hesitate in condemning this expression and this comparison [I.e. that the Qur’ân is a phenomenon as the phenomenon of the heavens and the earth]. The best of can say of it is that he means that it really is the speech of Allâh, which is the opinion of Ahl-us-Sunnah wal-Jamâ’ah, or that it is the metaphorical speech of Allâh, which is the opinion of the Mu’tazilah. Thus, it is poetical speech.
I deem that one should not lay any significant stress on this. What one should do is merely show that it is prohibited to speak in this way and that the author’s view of the Qur’ân is unclear; is it the real speech of Allâh or not. This is what I deem.
To compare an-Nawawî and Ibn Hajar with Sayyid Qutb? – Shaykh an-Najmî [Video|Ar-En Subtitles]

Question: If one warns against the books of Sayyid Qutb, some say that even an-Nawawî and Ibn Hajar had errors.
Shaykh an-Najmî:
Is he and Ibn Hajar and an-Nawawi equal? No! These, such as Ibn Hajar and an-Nawawî, belong to AHL-UL-HADÎTH who erred in a certain aspect. They wrongly interpreted the attributes of Allâh.
As for Sayyid Qutb, then what should one say when only ‘Abdullâh ad-Duwaysh has found 181 errors in his Qur’an-interpretation? Plus his errors in “al-’Adâlah al-Ijtimâ’iyyah” and other books.
Shaykh Saalih al Fawzaan Advises with Boycotting Adnaan Ar’oor

Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan Refuting Adnaan Ar’oor’s Principle and Making Tahdheer (Warning) From Him
The noble Scholar is asked about a series of principles that have been invented by ‘Adnaan ‘Ar’oor, as well as his defense of Sayyid Qutb (k.1966CE). Though his name is not mentioned in the beginning, the Shaykh recogmizes the misguided principles and asks if these are the principles of ‘Ar’oor. The Shaykh goes onto explain the circumstances under which ‘Adnaan originally came to Saudi Arabia and lastly he advises the Salafee youth to boycott ‘Adnaan and those who are like him.

Question: We want to present some principles to you, and we require some clarification by the answers, and whether they are in agreement with what Ahl us-Sunnah are upon of firmly established usool (foundations)?
1. “We correct (the mistake) but we do not disparage (the person, i.e. make jarh).”
Shaykh: ”This a false principle (qaa’idah baatilah), which has no basis for it. It is binding to make jarh (criticise, censure) the people of falsehood.”
2. “When you judge (upon someone), you are judged upon, and when you invite (him instead), then you are rewarded”
Shaykh: ”This is a newly introduced matter which has no basis for it. It is necessary to pass judgement over Ahl ul-Bid’ah.”
3. It is from justice and equity to mention both the good and evil points, and he used as an argument for the manhaj of al-Muwaazanah with the well-known hadeeth, “he spoke the truth but he is a great liar” (concerning the devil that taught aayat ul-kursee to Abu Hurairah).
Shaykh: ”This is false speech also, for the Qur’aan mentions the evils of the Mushrikeen and it does not mention their good deeds. And Ahl ul-Bidah are treated like that also. That which is mentioned is his evil. His good deeds are not to be mentioned, because Allaah mentioned the evil of the enemies and He did not mention their good aspects.”
Shaykh: ”Are these the principles of Ar’oor?”
Questioner: ”Yes”.
Shaykh: ”These are principles that are criticised and which are false, and which are rejected upon him, and books have actually been written against him.”
4. “It is permissible to declare someone to be in error, but reviling is forbidden”.
Shaykh: ”This (principle) is similar to “We correct (the mistake), but we do not criticise (the person)”, it is the same principle.”
Question: ”[Adnaan Ar'oor] said, “Why is Imaam Ahmad not reproached for his takfir of the one who abandons prayer and yet Sayyid Qutb is reproached merely because some of these expressions occurred from him (i.e. his takfir of Muslim societies). So we say: This one performed takfir of the Muslim societies (i.e. Qutb), and yet Imaam Ahmad ý may Allaah have mercy upon him ý is not reproached despite his judgement of kufr against all these societies [meaning that the majority of them do not pray].”
So what is your comment upon this?”
Shaykh: ”Imaam Ahmad is a scholar and a sage (erudite, sagacious) who knows the evidences and the manner of extracting proof from them and Sayyid Qutb is an ignoramus (jaahil) who has no knowledge or cognisance and neither does he have any evidences for what he says. Hence, equating between Imaam Ahmad and Sayyid Qutb is injustice (dhulm) [because Imaam Ahmad has many evidences from the Book and the Sunnah for the one who deliberately abandons the prayer whereas Sayyid does not have a single piece of evidence for his takfir of the Muslims in general. Rather the evidences are in opposition to what he says].”
Question: ”Likewise he (Adnaan Ar’oor) says, “I do not know of anyone who has spoken about the affairs of Manhaj in the manner that Sayyid Qutb has spoken of them. And he is correct in the vast majority of what he has written.” He (Ar’oor) was asked about this statement of his and he replied, “By the word minhaaj here I mean the issues of reform, elections and assassinations. And by “in his time” I mean the Fifties.”
Shaykh: ”He (Ar’oor) does not know because he is ignorant. As for us, then we know ý and all praise is due to Allaah ý that the scholars both prior to and after Sayyid Qutb, opposed him.”
Question: ”Adnaan says, “There is a trap in the name of da’wah to the manhaj of Ahl us-Sunnah, and to disparage the servants and to revile the servants on account of a single word or due to an ambiguous expression, and also a trap in the name of takfir, a trap which is called “takfir of the rulers” .
Shaykh: ”This is meaningless speech, by which beautification of falsehood and defence of Ahl ul-Bid’ah is intended”.
Question: [And his saying] “Whoever follows up all the causes of splitting, will find that the majority of them are to do with manners, and not to do with aqeedah or manhaj.”
Shaykh: ”Rather, causes in aqeedah and manners. But he desires to cover and protect them (i.e. the Innovators)”.
Question: ”What is your saying concerning him?”
Shaykh: ”He, in his foundation, he is not a scholar. He came to Saudiyyah as a worker (employed), and then he openly manifested what is actually with him (of manhaj).”
Question: ”Are his lessons to be attended or not?”
Shaykh: “We advise the Salafee youth to cut off from him and not to attend his lessons”.

Comment from Sajid Chauhan:
Adnaan Aroor has been refuted by Shaykh Fawzaan, Shaykh Abdul Muhsin al-Abbaad, Shaykh Ghudayyan and Shaykh Uthaymeen. Still those who support QSS in Canada and who believe that the manhaj of these above Ulemah is different from the manhaj of Ulemah like Shaykh Rabee, Shaykh an-Najmee, Shaykh Ubayd and Shaykh Muqbil consider Adnan Aroor as a “Shaykh from Ahlus Sunnah”. Allahul Musta’aan. may Allah guide us & al-Aroor, al-Marabi, Maghrawi, Huwayni, Muhammad Hassan, QSS, Jamiat Ahle Hadith. Ameen.
