Refutation Of Hizb-ut-Tahreer – Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Haadi
Transcript of above Video:
Question:
There is a group amongst us (here in the UK) called Hizb-ut-Tahreer. They call for the Islamic Khilaafah and they speak against the scholars. How can they be refuted and what is the way towards achieving the proper Islamic Khilaafah?
Answer by Imam Muqbil (rahimahullaah) :
All praise be to Allaah and may the peace and blessings be on our Prophet Muhummed, His Family, Companions, and whom succeeds them. I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah – alone and with no partner. And I testify that Muhummed is His slave and Messenger. To proceed:
With regard to the issue of partisanship, the people are divided into two parties: The party of Ar-Rahmaan (Allaah) and the party of ash-Shaytaan (the Devil).
So the party of ar-Rahmaan – it is not permissible for them to be divided amongst themselves.
Allaah, the Most High, says: “Verily those who divide their Religion and break up into sects, you have no concern with them in the least.” [Surah Al-An'aam: 159]
And the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “The Jews split up into seventy-one or seventy-two sects. And the Christians split up into seventy-one or seventy-two sects. And my ummah will split up into seventy-three sects.”
This hadeeth was reported by Abu Dawood from the narration of Abu Hurairah (radyAllaahu ‘anhu). Abu Dawood reported a similar hadeeth from Mu’awiyah (radyAllaahu ‘anhu) and in it there occurs:
“All of them (these sects) will be in the Hellfire, except one sect.” They asked: “Who is it O Messenger of Allaah?” He (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “The Jamaa’ah.”
Then he said: “And there will indeed come a people of whom vain desires will move them just as rabies moves around the one it affects.”
And what the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) warned us of has already come to pass, for the desires have become many and the parties have multiplied.
And Allaah, the Lord of Glory, says in His Noble Book: “And hold on tightly to the Rope of Allaah, all of you, and be not divided.” [Surah Aali 'Imraan: 103]
The Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “You will indeed follow the ways of those who came before you, step by step, even if they were to enter the hole of a lizard you would enter into it (after them).”
We said: “O Messenger of Allaah, do you mean the Jews and the Christians?” He (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Who else?”
And the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “The beleiver with respect to another beleiver is like a building, each part supports the other.”
As for these parties, then they chase each other away and they attack one another. In fact, if one were to say: “These splitting into parties has actualized what the enemies of Islaam have desired from splitting up the ummah, dividing its ranks and weaking its strength” he would be speaking truthfully.
Therefore, (I say that) Hizb-ut-Tahreer is a hizb (party) that is wicked. Perhaps you think this is a grave statement since I am the first one to say such a thing, but it is proper that I introduce such a statement. So I say again, it is indeed a wicked party, which began in Jordan. They split away from the Ikhwaan al-Muslimoon, who wrote to them requesting them to return but they refused to go back to them. Their leader was Taqee-ud-Deen an-Nubhaanee.
Concerning the matters related to Creed, they say: “Nothing should be accepted except for that which conforms to the intellect.” So if there is found some hearing (of a report), then this hearing must be eliminated. That is why they reject the Punishment in the Grave and they reject that the Dajjaal will be brought forth. Likewise they have no concern for teaching good etiquettes nor with spreading knowledge. So it is a party that cultivates its followers upon seeking after and studying politics, which opposes the Religion.
It was once said to the leader of this group: “Why don’t we see any schools for the memorization of the Qur’aan in your party?” So he responded: “I do not want to produce dervishes!”
Naa’am my brothers by Allaah. They rely on politics only, and they do not rely on knowledge and etiquettes, nor on the heart-softening narrations.
And with regard to issues of Fiqh, they make it permissible for a man to shake hands with a woman that is not related to him.
And they say that it is permissible for a woman to be a leader and that she can sit in a governing council (majlis ash-shuraa).
In fact they even allow a disbeliever to be in the governing council and that he can be given general leadership positions ! So it is a deviant group that has surpassed the extent of deviance.
And I am surprised at those who join and adhere to this party.
We even have them in Yemen. Hizb al Tahrir – some of them are the party of the treacherous.
My brothers ! are they the party of liberation or the party of the treacherous ?
Naa’am my brothers, they label themselves as being the party of liberation, and in fact they are the party of the treacherous.
So I do not only advise every brother to stay far away from this group, but rather also to warn against it. It is an onligation upon us to warn against them.
And if it were not that we make excuses for them, that they misinterpret the texts, we would have said that they were disbelievers.
Because they reject the Punishment in the Grave and they reject the coming of the Maseeh ad-Dajjaal.
And their leader says that he does not like to teach his students the Qur’aan so that they will not come out as dervishes.

The Reality of the founder of Hizb ut-Tahreer 2 CD set

Imam Muhammad bin Seereen (tabi’ee d.110H) said:
“Verily this religion is your knowledge, so look to see who you take your religion from”
Every Muslim, male and female is obligated to worship Allah based upon the Qur’an and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf (the righteous predecessors). The’Aqeedah (belief), the call to Tawheed, the forbiddance of Shirk and Innovations and all matters that refer to our noble and complete religion of Islam, must be in accordance with the legislated understanding. Whosoever from the scholars is upon that path, then we take from them. However, whoever opposes that path, and chooses the innovated ways and calls to other than what the Messenger called to, then we do not take from them, but rather we warn against them, so that the Muslims do not become misguided. This lecture is an advice to any follower or member of Hizb ut-Tahreer (a political organisation, that claims to call to Khilaafah). However, the reality is that from the foundations, their whole agenda and call is innovated and false, because their founder—Taqi ud-Deen Nabahaani (1909 to 1977 CE) was not following the understanding of the righteous Salaf. From his very own books, you will hear about his deviation from the Salaf in ‘Aqeedah and Manhaj. Not only do they have a distorted understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah, they even go so far as relying on intellect over clear text that has been revealed by Allah.

Refutation Of Muhummed Mutawalee al Sharaawee – Shaykh Maahir al Qahtaani
Refutation Of Muhummed Mutawalee al Sharaawee
Shaykh Maahir al Qahtaani
video only in arabic, translation is below
Shaykh Maahir al Qahtaani :
al Mughamesee commended al Sharawi ? This is wrong. Without a doubt, al Sharawi is known. His situation is known. He is from Ahl al bid’ah.
The Great Scholar al Albaani has said about him that al Sharawi is a sufi, ash’a'ree, khlaafee.
He doesn’t believe that Allaah Has risen over His Throne. He might have said that Allaah is in the Heavens. He might have said it. al Sharawi says that Allaah Has created the Rasool ﷺ from a pinch, a pinch from His Face. A pinch from Light. A pinch taken from His Face.
Naa’am He also interprets the Qur’aan with the Arabic language. He never tends to the ways of the Sahaaba. As if like no one from the Sahaaba is of any significance. He only uses the language. This is wrong, because the interpretation of the Qur’aan with using only linguistics and abandoning the Sahaaba is wrong. Tell me who is the greatest scholar of linguistics ? Speak with him, use the legislated linguistics of (Shariah) and ask him to interpret this language. Ask him what is the meaning of the words of the Rasool ﷺ , “the bankrupt” ? He will answer, in Arabic linguistics, that the bankrupt is the one that doesn’t have no money. He has spoken, with his linguistics. In the Shariah (legislation) the bankrupt is the one; narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: “Do you know who is the one who is bankrupt ?” They said, ‘The bankrupt is the one who has no money and no possessions.’ He said, ‘Among my Ummah, the one who is bankrupt is the one who will come on the Day of Resurrection with prayer and fasting and Zakah (to his credit), but he will come having insulted this one, slandered that one, consumed the wealth of this one and shed the blood of that one, and beaten that one. So they will all be given some of his hasanaat, and when his hasanaat run out, before judgment is passed, some of their sins will be taken and cast onto him, then he will be cast into the Fire.’” (Muslim: 4/1998, Hadith no. 2581) Then one can’t interpret the Qur’aan, and the words of the Prophet ﷺ without the Sunnah. As for interpreting the Qur’aan with the Arabic language, even this wasn’t possible with the Sahaaba. The Sahaaba came one time interpreting the Qur’aan with the Arabic language, and the Prophet ﷺ denied the meaning of what they had came up with. So what they brought from themselves, what they understood, [see Tafseer (Interpretation) of Surah 31 :13), from Kitaab al Emaan Min al Saheeh, Imaam Muslim] – the interpretation they brought from ‘الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُواْ إِيمَانَهُم بِظُلْمٍ”. They interpreted it with only using the Arabic language, بِظُلْمٍ meaning, out of justice. So, the Prophet ﷺ showed them that this is not relevant. He showed them, that it means shirk. So what has been revealed now is that it doesn’t matter how knowledgeable the man is in the Arabic language and he returns back to it, that the Sunnah is priceless. (The Arabic language is worthless when interpreting the Qur’aan without the Sunnah). And the Sunnah is known by the Hadiths and evidences. This is how the methodology of al Sharawi was, khlaafee and not Salaafi in the interpretation. With this, you will find whom glorify him, you will find whom commend him like Saalih al Mughamesee. This is due to the lack of knowledge amongst the men. Naa’am And I fear that he is like him (al Sharwai) and he doesn’t take the evidences from the Hadiths. So refrain from them, and listen to the audio recordings of the Scholar al Albaani, because it is filled with the correct Hadiths which nullify the weak Hadiths. Its close to 3,000 audio recordings and we have received over 1,000 audio recordings, and in them you will find many benefits that the Scholars can’t take for granted. Likewise also, the Shaykh Scholar Ibn Baaz and Scholar Ibn al ‘Uthyameen. This will suffice you.

Shaykh Zayd bin Muhammad al-Madkhalî:
The Hawthiyyah of today are nothing more than Khawârij and Rawâfidh. They unify in pledging allegiance to two ruined sects. Among them are Khawârij and Rawâfidh. That is why they trouble the Muslims in such a horrible way. They do it without any due right. All they do is trouble the Muslims and harbour grudges against Islâm and the Muslims.
They have chosen Saudi Arabia as their battlefield. It is a country whose ruler, scholars and citizens Allâh (tabârak wa ta’âlâ) has guided to a correct creed and a sound methodology and the maintaining of Allâh’s religion and rulings. All of that angers them. As a result thereof they have initiated their campaign that they only have hurt themselves with. Thus, the oppressor will never succeed when he assaults someone unjustly. The ruler of Saudi Arabia, the scholars, and citizens have never assaulted any country or any ethnic group. The country has been attacked and endured until resistance was the only solution.

Surûriyyah’s way with the scholars – Shaykh Muqbil (rahimahullaah)

Shaykh Muqbil:
Surûriyyah, regardless of whether they are in Saudi Arabia or in Yemen, make fun of the scholars and say that they are ignorant. This for instance exists in the magazine as-Sunnah. I praised the magazines “as-Sunnah” and “al-Bayân” in the past, but they make fun of the scholars and say that they do not understand anything from the current affairs unlike the beginners. One of the signs of the Hizbiyyûn is that they make fun of the scholars and avoid their sittings. This pleases the enemies of Islâm and the devils.
Refutation of Harun Yahya aka Adnan Oktar
–
1. Harun Yahya is not a real name, it is an alias for “Adnan Oktar” who is a Turkish “Intellectual“.
2. His materials are all focused around invitation to Ruboobiyyah.
3. The general thrust seems to be unity of religions with emphasis upon morality, justice etc. A person could read his materials and come back thinking “Islam, Christianity and Judaism all call to the same thing”.
4. Overall there is hardly any dependence upon the Sunnah in his materials and it might be the case that the people / individuals / organisations etc. behind this “brand name” of “Harun Yahya” actually reject the Sunnah, and consider it to be something that divides the Muslims rather than unite them.
5. There are oppositions to the aqeedah of the Salaf in his works, amongst them references and exposition of the doctrine of Wahdat ul-Wujood (Unity of Existence).
6. I suggest you have a read of this article which covers this particular subject: http://spubs.com/r.cfm?ID=TZK090003

I just wanted to add that most of “Harun Yahyaa”s references, outside of the Qur’aan, are to soofees like “Imaam” Rabbaani and Muhyiddeen ibn ‘Arabi, and other than them. Allaah’s refuge is sought.

I am aware of a non-Salafi distributor who distributes books here in Michigan, who was curious to see what this man was about, and visited him in Turkey. He was questioned on his ‘Aqidah which he confirmed to be upon Wahdat ul-Wujood, or the existence of only Allaah, as the extreme Sufis and the Hindus believe. In addition, the women at the office did not cover at all and nobody could tell him which direction was the Kiblah. However, even after all of this, the publisher finds that the books have been “checked”, and so continues to distribute the majority of them. He does not limit himself to writing about science-related topics, rather he has books even on Tafseer, and these publications are heavily promoted by his followers, in reality turning the Muslims from the Tafaseer of the Salaf. He does not list any qualifications, nor do his books contain any such “checker”. His picture, which is found on the back of his books, is of a clear Faasiq, as he removes most of his beard. Wallaahu Must’aan.

The Disbelief Of “The Nation Of Islaam” – Shaykh Saalih al-Luhaydaan [Video|Ar-En]
[Q]: All praises are for Allaah, Lord of everything that exists and may His peace and Prayers be upon Muhammad, his family and his Companions. As to proceed:
O Shaykh there is found in America a religious sect who call themselves “The Nation of Islam” and they claim to be upon Islaam. Their beliefs are as follows:
- That generally, every black person is an incarnate of Allaah, specifically he is in the form of a man named Fard Muhammad, and that all whites are devils.
- That Muhammad (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) was not the seal of all Prophets and Messengers and that Elijah Muhammad was indeed the last prophet and that he is the messiah and Mahdee expected to appear in the last days. They also deny Allaah resurrecting the creation and they consider the Resurrection to be a metaphor of one exiting from ignorance and gaining knowledge, and they have many other aspects of creed which are clear disbelief.
So the question, O Shaykh, is firstly: Is this sect a disbelieving sect, outside of the fold of Islaam. Second, what is the ruling on the common folk from amongst them? Third, are these individuals excused due to them living far away from the Scholars of Islaam and fourth, what is your advice to those who hesitate in declaring these individuals to be disbelievers?
[A]: In the name of Allaah the Most Beneficent, Most Merciful, all praises are for Allaah, and may His peace and prayers be upon His Messenger, the one whom Allaah sent as a mercy to the whole of mankind, and has made him the seal of all Prophets and Messengers. Thus, there is no prophet or messenger that will come after him.
These individuals, who were described in these three questions, are not Muslims. Did they accept Islaam before this as to say that they are even apostates?! It is not clear to me that they ever accepted Islaam. Their belief is a branch of that of the Hulooliyyah (those who say Allah becomes incarnate with His creation), however they claim that Allaah became incarnate within the blacks, and they claim that the whites are devils. And this is something that they use to offend and spite the whites. So in reality, the Muslim is a brother of a Muslim, and a condition for one to enter Islaam, is to testify that no deity has the right to be worshipped in truth except Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, and there is no prophet after him. The Muslim also believes in Allaah, His Angels, His revealed Books, His Messengers, the Day of Resurrection, and believe in His Pre-Ordained Decree, the good and bad of it. Whoever does not believe in this, they are not a Muslim or a Believer (mu‘min). So whoever’s belief and creed is the likes of what was mentioned in the questions are not Muslims. Rather they are not Jews or Christians. Without a doubt, there is no Jew or Christian that comes after the sending of Muhammad (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) except none of their actions will be accepted if they do not believe in Muhammad and enter the true Religion of Allaah. The destination of this person will be the Hellfire.
The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said,
“There is not a Jew or Christian who hears about me and then dies not believing in what I was sent with (i.e. Islaam) except they will be from the people of the Hellfire.” [Related by Muslim (no. 240) and Ibn Mandah in Kitaabul-Eemaan (no. 401).]
Furthermore, I do not think that a Muslim who understands Islaam can have any doubt and hesitate in the disbelief of these individuals. There is no doubt in the disbelief of these individuals, and the common folk amongst them are not excused! The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) did not excuse the disbelievers from the Arabs who died and those who remained living up until Muhammad was sent. He did not say they are excused because of their ignorance. Rather, he mentioned when a person came to him and asked him,
“What was the end result of my father?” He (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “Your father and my father are both in the Hellfire.” [Related by Muslim (no. 203).]
Allaah the Most High says,
“It is not for the Prophet or those who believe to seek forgiveness for the disbelievers, even if they were relatives.” [Sooratut-Tawbah 9:113]
Therefore it is not permissible for any Muslim to seek forgiveness for anyone who died upon disbelief. As for these individuals (i.e. the Nation) there is no doubt regarding their disbelief, and there is no doubt in the disbelief of those who know what they are upon and then say, “I do not declare them to be disbelievers.” The truth is that there is no such thing in this world as religions.
“Indeed, the only religion accepted by Allaah is Islaam.” [Soorah Aali-’Imraan 3:18]
Also, Allaah says,
“Whoever desires a religion other than Islaam, it will never be accepted from him.” [Soorah Aali-’Imraan 3:85]
So you find people who say, “religion, religion.” There are no religions in the world because whoever follows a religion other than that of Islaam, they are following a religion of falsehood. There is no difference between a Jew, Christian, Magian, or the idol worshipper who does not know about any of these religions but rather worships graves and other gods that they invent and call upon. All of this is disbelief, without a shadow of the doubt.
However, it is incumbent that these individuals (i.e. the nation) be advised for those who are able to do so. Allaah the Mighty and Majestic did not become incarnate with anything from His creation, nor did anything from His creation become incarnate with Him. This is merely the belief of the people of Hulool who distorted this from those who believe inWahdatul-Wujood, meaning that everybody is Allaah and Allaah is everybody. And more amazing than this are these individuals who call to Wahdatul-Wujood and call themselves the Hulooliyyah, they do not exempt even the animals. They say that there is no such thing as the servant and Allaah (being separate) and all of this is clear misguidance, except that which the Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) was upon and his Companions.
Allaah mentions,
“Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and with a good admonition, and debate with them in a way that is better.” [Sooratun-Nahl 16:125]
And He says,
“Say (O Muhammad): This is my path, I invite to Allaah upon clear knowledge, me and those who follow me.” [Sooratul-An’aam 8:153]
It is incumbent upon those who are prepared to call them (i.e. to Islaam) to be gentle with them and also to clarify to them that they are only inviting them (i.e. to Islaam) with the desire to save them from a lasting painful torment. The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said to ’Alee (Ibn Abee Taalib) during the expedition of Khaybar,
“That Allaah guides through you just one person, is better for you than red camels.” [Related by al-Bukhaaree (no. 2783) and Muslim (no. 2406).]
The most precious of the wealth of the Arabs in al-Jaahiliyyah (pre-Islaamic times of ignorance) was the camels. And the best of the camels were the red camels.
So the Messenger of Allaah said this to ’Alee and this hadeeth is in al-Bukhaaree and Muslim. That if Allaah guides just one person through you is better for you than having the most precious of wealth. So we ask Allaah first and foremost to guide the misguided Muslims and then that He makes the Muslims…[speech unclear]. On top of this our souls should be tranquil because the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said,
“There will not come a time, except the time that comes after it will be more evil than it, up until you meet your Lord.” [Related by al-Bukhaaree (13/22).]
Also worship will not correct except that which was legislated by Muhammad. It is not for anyone to worship from what they deem to be good. The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said,
“Whoever does an action not in accordance with our matter, it will be rejected.” [Related by Muslim (no. 1718).]
This hadeeth is in al-Bukharee and Muslim.
[Q]: So that I may be sure, it is not permissible that we have doubt about them being disbelievers?
[A]: No, how free is Allaah from all imperfection! A person of intellect will not have doubt regarding their disbelief. The disbelievers of old from Arab did not even say that Allah took on the form of the creation!
[Q]: So it is correct that we say that they are from the original disbelievers and never entered into Islaam?
[A]: They never entered into Islaam! Those who we say about them they are apostates are those who entered into Islaam and then left it. This is another aspect. The Prophet said,
“Whoever changes their Religion then kill them.” [Related by al-Bukhaaree (no. 6922).]
And there is the other hadeeth,
“The blood of a Muslim is not permissible except due to one of three: Adultery, a life for a life, or the one who changes his Religion and departs the Jamaa’ah.” [Related by al-Bukhaaree (no. 6878) and Muslim (no. 1678).]
Meaning, he departs Islaam.
