Question:
The questioner says: Is the absence of refuting the people of innovation, and concealing their falsehood, and defending them, considered as deception against the Muslims?
Shaykh Fawzan:
This is the greatest form of deception against the Muslims. Remaining silent concerning the people of innovation and the absence of clarifying their innovation, this is deception against the Muslims. And if in addition to this, they praise and exalt them, then this is more severe and a greater evil; and with Allah refuge is sought. Thus it is obligatory upon those who have knowledge to clarify the innovations and newly invented matters. And they must prohibit, and warn against the innovation and not remain silent. Remaining silent is considered concealing the truth.
Verily those who conceal the clear (signs) We have sent down, and the guidance, after we have made it clear for the people in the Book, on them shall be Allah’s curse, and the curse of those entitled to curse.
Except those who repent and make amends and openly declare (the truth): to them I turn; for I am Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
(Soorah Al Baqarah 2:159-160)
It is not permissible for the Muslim who possesses knowledge to remain silent concerning innovation and deviance without clarifying it for the people. This is because if he remains silent the people will use him as an argument, saying: if this was impermissible or prohibited then the scholar so and so would not have remained silent about it while he sees it.

1- ‘Alee bin Ahmad bin Sa’eed bin Hazm (d.456 A.H.) -Rahimullaah- said:
‘A group from the Soofeeyah claimed that there is from amongst the ‘Aawleeyah (Friends of Allaah) he who is better than all the Prophets and Messengers.
These Soofeeyah said: Whoever reaches the maximum limit of al-Walayaa (the maximum limit of being religious) then he is relieved of all the Sharia’, from prayer, fasting, Zakah and other acts of worship. And that all Haraam things become Halaal for him, from Zina and drinking alcohol and other things.’

2- Ibn al-Jawzi (d. 597 A.H.) -Rahimullaah- said:
‘Iblees (Shaytaan) deceived a group of the Soofeeyah, from them were those who secluded themselves in a mountain, like monks. Spending the night alone, and reach the morning alone, so they would miss the Jumma’ prayer and the congregational prayer and mixing with the people of knowledge.’

3- Shamsuddeen Muhammad bin Abee Bakr Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah (d.751) -Rahimullaah- said:
‘….so whoever does not hold the opinion that establishing the obligatory acts of worship is compulsory and he believes that he will achieve a state whereby he is relieved of worship, then he is a disbeliever detached from the religion.’

4- Shamsuddeen Muhammad bin Abee Bakr Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah (d.751)-Rahimullaah- quoted the hadeeth:
[From Anas bin Malik –RadhiAllaahu anhu- who said: ‘A group of three people came to the houses of the Prophet’s wives asking about the Prophet’s worship. When they were informed about it, they regarded their own as insignificant and said: ‘Where are we compared to the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam? Indeed Allaah has forgiven him his past and future sins.’
One of them said: As for me then I will pray all night.
The other one said: I will fast continuously and not open my fast.
The last one said: I will keep away from women and never marry.
When the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- came he said: Are you those who said such-and-such. Then I swear by Allaah that indeed I am the most fearful of Allaah from amongst you and the one who has the most Taqwa of Him. However, I fast and open my fast, I pray and I sleep and I marry women. So whosoever does not desire my Sunnah is not of me.’ Collected by Bukhari]
Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah (d.751) -Rahimullaah- said about the preceding hadeeth: ‘The Messenger -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- freed himself from those who turned away from his Sunnah, and worshipping Allaah. Those who leave that which Allaah allowed for His worshippers from the good things of the world by not desiring them, with the belief that keeping away from them is worshipping Allaah, so this person does not distinguish between what is for him and what is against him.’

Amma-ba’dShaikh Rabee’s Challenge to Ahlul-Bid’ah:
Between us and you is the Salaf, between us and you are the books (of the Salaf)!Shaikh Rabee’ bin Haadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) said:
“Hold fast all of you together to the rope of Allaah, and (the thing) that will assist you and will be like the sun for you (in shedding light upon this path) is that you return to the understanding of the Salaf-us-saleh (pious, righteous predecessors: Allaah’s Messenger, salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and the sahaaba, and the tabi’een, and the atba’ at-tabi’een). And (their understanding) – as I have said – is widespread and available for you (in books, tapes, lessons of the scholars).
And this is a challenge for whoever disputes this.
We challenge the people of bid’ah and desires – people of bid’ah in beliefs and people of political bid’ah – we say: ‘Between us and you is the Salaf, between us and you are the books (of the Salaf)!‘
Imam Ahmad (rahimahullaah Ta’aala) used to say to people of bid’ah: ‘Between us and you are the funeral prayers,’ and likewise we say this and we say, ‘Between us and you are the books (of the Salaf). They’re available (to read and benefit from and implement and rectify one’s self and ‘aqeedah/manhaj).’
Allaah said to His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam):
قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
…Say (O Muhammad): “Bring here the Tauraat (Torah) and recite it, if you are truthful.” (Aali ‘Imran, ayah 93)
So they (the Jews) would come with the Tauraat, and it would expose them. As for these innovators, we will bring the books of the Salaf, the Qur`an and Sunnah – we bring the books of al-Bukhaaree, Muslim, Aboo Dawood, at-Tirmidhee, An-Nasa`ee, and what Ahmad and other than him authored. We’ll bring these and (find out) who is upon their way (of these great Imams) and who threw it away and opposed them!!
Just as Allaah challenged the Jews to bring the Tauraat – and when the Tauraat was brought, it exposed them – we likewise challenge them (the innovators) to bring the books of the Salaf in order to clarify who amongst us is deviated, and to put the innovators – amongst “us” or them – to shame.
Are they able to challenge us? Are they able to open their mouths and say this? We fill our mouths with every courage; we challenge each person who claims that we are upon other than the methodology of the Salaf-us-saleh.
By Allaah, we call to the methodology of the Salaf-us-saleh – the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) – and we bring them as testimony in our beliefs, our worship, our stances (concerning the relationship between) the rulers, and the ruled and (in refuting) groups and sects in light of the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).
As for the others (people of bid’ah), they are upon trickery and deception. By Allaah, you will not find with them except trickery, and playing with the emotions of the youth.”

بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
Indeed it’s found on a tape of Amr Khalid from his website entitled “Adam and Eve” where he said: “Iblis didn’t disbelieve.” Then he continues “Here is another meaning with a beautiful reality we ask did Iblis disbelieve in our Lord or not? Pay attention! No he didn’t disbelieve, no he didn’t disbelieve. Look! What did Iblis say? “You created me.” So did he acknowledge that Allah created him or not? Isn’t that right? Also didn’t he say “You created me from fire?” He said you created him from clay thus you created me and him. Yet in another verse he says I swear by your honor and never stopped acknowledging Allah’s honor!”
Ash Shaykh Ibn Uthaymin was asked “O shaykh what is the ruling on the one who says Iblis is not a disbeliever and that he swore by Allah’s honor?
The shaykh responded: “Allah said:
“إلا إبليس أبى و استكبر و كان من الكافرين ““Except for Iblis. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers” [Al-Baqarah:34}
So the one who says Iblis is not a kaafir then repentence being sought from him is compulsory, and if he doesn't repent then he is killed for denying the Quran. As for him swearing by Allah's honor then it was done because he knows that Allah is Aziz thus he swore by His honor. And Allah says:
"كمثل الشيطان إذ قال للإنسان اكفر فلما كفر قال إني برئٌ منك إني أخاف الله رب العالمين""Like the example of Shaytan when he says to man, "Disbelieve." But when he disbelieves he says, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I fear Allah Lord of all that exist." [Al-Hashr:16]
However this fear isn’t considered worship. This fear is like when we fear a wolf or some beast of prey, etc. So tell the brother (who makes this evil, ignorant, and misguided claim) to repent to Allah and to not deny the speech of Allah :
“إلا إبليس أبى و استكبر و كان من الكافرين”“Except for Iblis. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers” [Al-Baqarah:34}

Thus these verses prove that Iblis disbelieved. The most famous of the disbelievers on Earth since the start of kufr is Iblis, because Allah says:
"قال اخرج منها مذءوماً مدحوراَ لمن تبعك منهم لأملأن جهنم منكم أجمعبن "
"(Allah) said, "Depart from it (Paradise), reproached and expelled. Whoever follows you among them - I will surely fill Hell with you, all together." [Al-A'raf:18]
Consequently; every disbeliever on the face of the earth is a follower of Iblis. Every disbelieving nation is from his followers. So how is it that someone can be ignrant to the fact that Iblis disbelieved?!

“I have to name an individual by name right now. This individual has put many women and youth on trial. I ask for permission to mention his name. My way is to mention a name only in emergencies. As for this man, even children are put to trial (Fitnah) because of him. He is an actor. His speeches are acts. I have a conference right now in Tabuuk, which ever book-shop I ever go to I hear the name “‘Amr Khaalid, ‘Amr Khaalid, ‘Amr Khaalid, who is this ‘Amr Khaalid? He is a DAJJAAL!”
“The filthy are many. Clowns who go out on TV are many. Their speeches look like a drama-play, they sing they act different sounds, they make the people laugh and they laugh at the people – We ask Allaah for forgiveness and healthiness”
“Alas, most people only care about the persons popularity. That he is popular amongst the Juhaal is what spreads his Bid’ah. This man is a clown because of several reasons.”
“I say without any problems at all, while I am in one of Allaah’s houses and getting closer to Allaah with these words; These people (i.e. Amr Khaaled, Taariq as-Suwaydaan etc) are closer to being clowns than callers to Islam.”

الإنكار على اهل البدع يفرق الأمة !!؟؟
Question:
Oh noble Shaykh may Allah give you success. Is it correct what some people say, that criticizing the people of innovation such as the sufis and other than them is from the reasons that separates the people and divides the Muslim Ummah?
Shaykh Fawzan:
Yes! We want to separate from the innovator and the pagans and the grave worshippers. We do not want them to unite with us. No one will gather with us except for the people of Tawheed; this is what we want. This is the intentional division. Allah made a separation between the believers and the disbelievers.
أَفَمَنْ كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا كَمَنْ كَانَ فَاسِقًا لَا يَسْتَوُونَ
Is then he who believes like the one who is rebellious and wicked? Not equal are they. (As Sajdah 32:18)
أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَالْمُفْسِدِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِينَ كَالْفُجَّارِ
Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as the wicked? (Sad 38:28)
We intend this. We intended that those who do not accept the truth separate from us and we disassociate from them a clear disassociation.
